Pitchtuner (DOXA/Berlin)
line up: Johannes Marx (git, electronics, vocals), Miki Yoshimura (bg, vocals), Stefan Weiss (dr)

Two pale boys and a Japanese chica have shaken up Elektro Guitar Pop basically within the last 3 years, live as well as on their album releases ‘Flight Up The Winding Stairs’ (2002) and ‘Spiny Lure’ (2004).This band is indie and a hundred percent dancefloor compatible at one, which is actually pretty heterogeneous to each other. But, honestly, they have found the narrow path on the peak without losing any credibility.Four to the Floor hits the kick under live played bass lines, ridden by dribblingly funky guitars. Pop on electronic basics: smart and naive at the same time, exotic by nature, freshly grooving - giving the right impetus in the morning and evening, too.Pitchtuner’s third album is in preparation, expected for 2006. As it is the magic third one, it takes time to be brewed out. As a bridge in between and not at least to enter dancefloors musically again, remixes of the current album have been done for them. Deliberatly selected artists have contributed a good job for Pitchtuner. Those are Jake Fairley (Sender), Hometrainer (Doxa/Resopal), Das Pop (Rough Trade), and Olympic Lifts (Bungalow)
